The day after a major rain storm rolled through we headed out on an impromptu to find some rocks and whatnot in the Mojave Desert on the Last Chance Canyon and Nightmare Gulch trails.
What we found was really cool; rocks that had been thrown all around because of the recent storm, no tracks or lines to follow, the desert greener/healthier then I've see in a long time, yellow, red, purple wildflowers blooming all over the place. Interesting old mine sites, red rock canyons that reminded us of Utah, crisp incredible views for miles around once we climbed out of the canyon, etc.
Spring is just about in full bloom around here, looking forward to xploring, wheelin', sharing the good times in the great outdoors of our majestic country, enjoy the pictures :-) the last one is the Nightmare Viewpoint above the clouds overlooking the water on a normally dry lake bed.
