I plan to buy separate tire/wheel set for my X - Goodyear MT/R's 32x11.5R15 on AE 589. I want to have offroad set and onroad set (original BFG Rugged Trail's on 17" wheels).
Did anybody put those tires on '02 X ?
If I will go with those tires should I consider body lift or suspension lift ? I do not think those tires will fit without one of those mods unless I will go with 31".

It's not the size of the tire that will be the problem it's the offset of the rims...do you know the size and offset of the 589's you want to use?

The size of rims is 15". Do not know the offset, the backspacing is 3.25".

They will never work, you need closer to a 4.5-5.25" backspacing..it sucks but there are not many rim choices for us..can you cut and paste the table with all the sizes to see what's available?

OK, I made a search and found AR-767 wheels 15x8 with 4.75" backspacing and 6mm offset (AR part# 7675884). Is it OK ?
How it gona work with GDY MT/R 32X11.50R15 tires ? any lifting needed ?

honestly, i'd recommend getting steel wheels with the stock offset from tirerack or somebody. you can probably find them for about $45 each plus shipping.
i'm running 32" MTR's on stock wheels with torsion lift up front and AAL's in the rear. no too much rubbing on road but it does rub alittle bit on my ARB when hitting a ditch or something while turning. i did tear off my fuel line cover offroad with these tires (sway bar off in the rear).

I agree. Even with the suspension lift, my 31" MT/Rs will rub at extreme articulation with my Rockcrawlers with 3.75" of backspacing. I wonder if I can run 33s on them with a body lift. I think the extra inch would be enough. If not it is sledgehammer time.
