I just got my 31x10.5 BFG AT KO's today. The tire people were gonna trim for me, but we didn't have to. The tires don't even look like would rub when I try to turn the wheel. Granted it is a tight fit, there appears to be no rubbing. Can somebody explain this phenomenon?

They'll rub a bit at full turn over uneven surfaces (especially with the truck loaded down). Having said that, I never trimmed mine.

If you carry a 31" spare in the spare tire space under the truck, make sure your trailer hitch (if so equiped) doesn't force the spare forward against the rear diff and brake line. Some hitches don't angle toward the rear as much as others which forces the spare forward. Rock on!

where do you store your 31" (or larger) tire?
the guys at the 4 wheel shop just called me and said that they would have to drop the spare pressure to 10 psi for a 31" to fit . . .

You probably should trim it anyways. Triming is pretty minor and painless. Nobody will ever see it, and only you will know about it. Also only takes like 5 minute total to do both sides.

I didn't bother to get the spare, mine is full tread and the guy said don't bother.
I think I'll get to trimming here soon, cause I can definately hear it, whether the tire people say it's ok or not.
