First post ever, just joined
I have a factory 2000 SE 4x4 Xterra and I need to get new tires, and I was wondering what people recommend.
Thanks,
Dan G.

I recommend that you look at the tire and wheel info section above this thread...there's a ton of info there on this issue, and you can use it to help filter what the next posts will tell you/make an informed decision, etc.

Essentially - You need to decide what type of driving you will be doing, as no tire is good at every thing, and each has strengths and weaknesses...

The size of tire makes a difference too, again, the best size is dependant upon what you need it to do.

You have an SE, so you probably have 16" alloy rims...which narrows your available choices...16" tires are more expensive.

Do you plan to lift? Offroad? Mud? Rocks? Daily Driver/long commute?

Read the already posted info - see what you think applies.

And

Welcome!
