It's been about 20K miles since I put Bilsteins on my xterra. I have nothing to complain about at this point. smile

...All of a sudden, I wondered..."How long are these Bilstein shocks are good for?"

I know shocks are something that eventually wear out, but I am curious to know how long (how many miles) they might last...? Any idea? Or, guess from your experience in the past? I just wanted to see when I should expect to spend some money on shocks again in the future...

Thanks,

Their advertising says that they have +90% of their original efficiency at 100,000 miles.

I haven't had mine that long, so I cannot speak from specific product experience, though there are more factors than just miles to concider.

Factors are (in no specific order):

Weight of the vehicle
Terrain driven, and frequency of rough terrain
Time
Mileage
