Do not forget to look at Tires.com
I ordered a set of
Dunlop Sport Rover 255 55 17
For a 17" tire I thought that was a good deal. (Awsome rain and dry pavement tire)

Also ordered my wife a set of
195 60 15 in a 80,000 mile Yokohama that handles awsome. (42.00 per tire)

So after you order tires from the web, who installs them?

Any tire shop like PepBoys or Firestone will install them. They'll just charge you a mounting fee which is usually included when you buy tires there. Expect to pay around $10 for mounting, $8 for balancing, $2 for valve Stems, and $1.50 for an environmental handling fee. Those are the prices I used to charge when I worked at PepBoys.

I'm sure you know, but PLEASE remember you are driving a 4000lb SUV and not a sports car with those 17's!! I assuming they are for your X.

Same deal for my 32x11.50 ATs as well, plus a $13 each road hazard, which has paid off already in a free new tire after one got cut.

The 265/70R16 is a smaller tire, with less material needed to produce it, yet because it's a 16" size it costs much more than the same width/diameter 15" tire. Screw that.
