Hey All,

I was hoping some of you could double check my thinking with this adapter/spacer and rim combo for my 06 X. I will not be doing much (if any) off-roading, but I want a steel rim 'cause I live in pothole/RR track heaven. Plus I really like the look of this rim, and its half the price of the equivalent AR wheel.

I am looking at the Cragar 342, 16 x 7 which has a 4 inch backspace. It also has a very ugly 5 on 4.5 lug pattern.

So I found these adapters:
http://www.ezaccessory.com/Wheel_Adapter_6_Lug_4_5_To_5_Lug_4_5_p/6450-5450.htm

This adapter is 2" thick (because of the awkward lug conversion).

So effectively, I'm looking at a 6" BS with the combo .. much more than the 4.5 I need, so I don't foresee any caliper clearance issues, correct? This is also going to shove my wheels 1.5" out from the truck, yes? Any foreseeable problems there (265/70/16)?

Braking: Since these adapters are so thick, anyone think I'll notice any changes in breaking. I don't really know what the stock rim weight is over the Cragars, or even the weight of the aluminum spacers. So maybe someone who already runs spacers can let me know their experiences.
