Yep: pic here It goes down to the first polyester ply best I can tell, but it held up, and with a nice layer of Shoe Goo over it it is now serving as my spare. And no, I have no idea why my tires are blue, I actually noticed the cut when checking out the blue that showed up overnight. Brent [This message has been edited by OffroadX (edited 06-01-2001).]

X_Jeeper, did you have to raise your torsion bar to accomodate the tires. I'm getting those tires around July and just want to make sure. I've noticed that you removed your fron and rear mud flaps.

XXXTerra, are you able to fit the TrXus underneath? I mean, will it fit with the tow hitch mounted?

I did not try yet, but the tires are not much larger than stock, so I believe they will fit. ------------------ Visit our club http://www.soxc.org My web page. http://www.members.home.net/linossiy/frame2.htm Updated

Offroad.com has a review if anybody is interested. I don't know how old it is or if it has been posted before?

Wow, nice review, good pictures. I think I'm getting sold on these tires. I've been looking at BFGs and Mickey Thompson tires, but the AT isn't agressive enough and the MT doesn't have siping (at least the ones I looked at). These TRXUS seem to have it all, at a lower cost than either.
I'm thinking about the "LT265/75R16" size, which shows as a 31.9" OD and 7.7" of tread width. I was hoping to get something closer to the "31x10.50R15" but in a 16" rim size because it's a 31" tire and a little wider. I didn't want to go that big, because I want to keep my mudflaps and not go too nutty.
Any ideas?

Just curious, what do you need aggressive tires for, all those mud slides ? ------------------

True - while I didn't get stuck in anything there either, I didn't hit some of the bigger mudholes because I knew I had stock gear... No sense getting stuck for the hell of it!
I drive in a lot of snow during the winter, too - and the stock tires don't work that well in the deep stuff.

do the TrXus m/t give good traction on wet pavement? or how do they compare in driving and traction on surfaces with BFG a/t or other a/t tires?

I'm assuming by your signature that you have a 2000 model Xterra and therefore have 15" wheel. I believe the TrXus has only 1 tire size available at the moment for a 15" rim: 31x10.5R-15. The next size coming out for a 15" rim is 33x12.5 which will not fit without any alterations to your X or suspsension. ------------------ Paul Crescini http://www.lil-pino.com/xterra.html

pino, would the 31/10.50R-15 require me to trim or cut the mudflaps or the fender? (considering my X is completely stock right now)

I have the 31's and trimming is recommended. They are not a large size tire so you will probably be able to get away with just trimming the inside corners of the flaps. There are a few members here who have posted pics and instructions on how to do this. ------------------ Visit our club http://www.soxc.org My web page. http://www.members.home.net/linossiy/frame2.htm Updated

schoolbus18, from what I've read some people using the 31x10.5x15's has little bit of rubbing in the front. So therefore, some takes off their front and sometimes rear mud guards. Do a reach on 31x10.5x15 and you should get more than what you need.

I'm kinda curious about this too, steinism...
The sizes they offer don't particularly jive with the limits I have in mind, but if it's not too far out there...

265/75R16 measures out to be 32x10.5/16 and with the lugs so large i would like to know how much extra trimming you might need to do and if there's major rubbing on the inner wells. these tires are bad ass. i might even consider giving up my new BFG's. ------------------ 2001 silver 4x4 SE steinism's x other vehicles

Flattened my first Trxus. No doubt it was due to sharp rocks or some other foreign object making a large gash in the sidewall. I replaced it with tire #5, and hopefully I will have more luck.
