Hey gothamist,
Am I reading your post correctly?? You're running Swampers now? Hmm, I thought you were running BFG AT's....

Yup, I just got Swampers--32x11.50 SSR's.

(One of the main reasons I first looked into the SLR shackles was to help me clear some bigger rubber.)

Incidentally I was at the tire store getting an alignment, and one of the employees had a lifted Grand Cherokee w/ 33" Goodyear MT/R's, which looked a smidgen smaller than my tires...we looked it up, and sure enough 33" MTR's are a tenth of an inch smaller (diameter) than my 32" Swampers.

Must be nice!! I'm still trying to scrounge up some money to buy some decent lights.

We'll be expecting to see pics of your Swampers on your website very soon.

If you go to the Interco Tire site, they list the actual diameter of the tires and all of the swampers are larger than the stated size. Much different than the rest of the tire industry.

Gothamist,
Do you bother changing the fluids and re-packing the bearings after water like that?

I haven't yet, but I need to. (It's a summer project.) The water in those pics wasn't actually *that* deep, and I've only hit *deep* water (BSM level) a couple of times. Mud isn't really my thing, so I don't seek out deep water (it just tends to be in the way of finding the cool rocky hillclimbs around here.)

Carlton and Swampwrecker seem to be at the forefront of Xterra submersion...not me.
