After having gone 4 X 4ing with the PNWX I have been bitten by the bug. First upgrades I'm planning are the tires and shocks. I just want to confirm that I'm not out to lunch before I go pricing stuff.

I'm planning to get A/T tires in 31/10.5/15. Not sure which ones but I'm leaning towards the BFG A/T KO's or the Big Foot XT's. This size is possible with minimum trimming correct. What do you need to do the triming? I'm not excatly mister handyman so don't have a lot on tools? In fact I just went out and bought my first socket set.

I've also settled on Bilstein shocks. Looks like B46 -1099-H2 are the way to go on the front. How about the back though. I seen both B46-1099-H0 and BE3-6422-HO. Which one is it?

Ok answered this part. From Bilstein.com

Front: B46-1099-H2
Rear: BE3-6422-H0

I've got the same exact set up and i love it .... make sure once you put the bilsteins on you remove the rear swaybar... dont worry you will like the ride.
as far as the trimming if you go with the BFG's just the tiny tip of the inside corner will have to be removed as well as the mud flaps. I used tin snips... it was that easy. laugh

Scott,

Did you still want my bumper or are you getting an ARB?

Good choice with the Bilsteins and I'd go witht eh BFG's between those two tire choices.

I got the Bilsteins and they rock - you'll love 'em.

I prefer the TrXus tires by Interco, but the BFGs are also very nice tires. You can't go wrong with either - and ANY tire upgrade is worth the effort/money.

You'll have a whole new truck, so to speak.

Why remove the swaybar? For increasing suspension travel?

I've been thinking about getting some 31x10.50's, how do they effect performance, which is already limited by the automatic?

Right, for increased suspension travel. Personally, I value ON road performance more, since that's what I do 90% of the time... So mine stays where it is.

You'll barely notice the performance change by the size increase you're talking about.
