OK i just got my new infininty 6x9's and they sound great..... But the problem is that you turn up the radio and it sounds good with no problems.... But then if you put in a cd and turn it up it cuts out, the time on the cd player continues to escalate, but no sound comes out. I turn it off and back on and it does nothing, in order to get it to come back I have to turn the truck off and then back on.... ANY IDEAS????? confused

Do you have an aftermarket head unit, amps??? When you play a cd, it is playing much cleaner audio and will sometimes overload a speaker if it is being underpowered or overpowered. I used to have that problem in my 240sx. I would constantly blow fuses until I put 2 subs in (I started with one). Your problem sounds kinda wierd though...

I know a good amount about stereo's and a good amount about electronics, but have no idea what your prob is. You need to seek out the assitance of the electrical god...electroken. Just do a search, find his member number and send him a private message. He might be able to help you.

I replaced the original stereo unit with a Sony head unit and replaced all speakers with Infinity's...6 1/2" up front and 6x9's in cargo area...anyway, my problem is whenever I'm playing CD's and I start to crank it up at a certain level, it starts to cut out a few seconds and then it plays again, like it's "clipping"...just thinking, maybe I need an Amp to supply the power that the speakers need....
