Ok so as i am driving home from work today the damn interior lights began to flicker on and off for my entire trip all of about 25 miles this adds to the pre existing condition of some form of electrical short that will run my battery dead when nothing is drawing power from it so i have no clue whats wrong with this damn X

First thing I would check are the door switches. One of those could have a bad connection and its creating a ground which would make the light come on. Thats where I would start looking.

Perhaps a door (or the hatch) was slightly ajar and was triggering the lights on and off. Or maybe just a bad switch in one of the doors.
