I have an opportunity to pick up a pair of MB Quartz 216 component speakers at an unbelievable price. I have read that most speakers fit the front doors as long as the magnet is not too big. From the diagram it looks like the total depth from the front of the speaker to the back of the magnet is 2.37 inches. Does anyone know if this will fit my 2002? The tweeter looks like it is .62 inches but I don't think this will be a problem.

They will fit just fine. You will want to make a baffle anyway to mount the 6.5" MQ Quarts, and you can make it out of 1/2" or 3/4" mdf and that will gain you even more space behind the speaker. It's really easy to make these baffles using a jigsaw and mdf is pretty cheap for a 2'x2' sheet at home depot.
