Yesterday I installed a new HU into my '05. It was my first stereo install and was extremely easy (and pretty fun, actually). The hardest part was finding two good grounds. The "brain" is under the passenger seat and all wiring is run inside the center console. And I managed to do it all without scratching a single thing. The unit is nice, although Kenwood completely wastes the nice screen on a crap GUI. I can't wait to add the navigation to it. I used a dash kit bought at Tweeter, supposed to be for 1990-02 Nissan "most models" but it works just fine. Made by American International. I just need to mod the Kenwood trim ring to fit (it's too big) but I may not do that because the gap isn't noticeable when the screen is up. Now on to the pics...

Everything removed and wires being run:

Beautiful. I'm not a fan of flip screens, but it looks great!

It does have that wire that goes to the e-brake, but I ran it to a ground. So the unit thinks the e-brake is always engaged. I am not stupid enough to watch a movie when I'm driving (I don't even like talking on the phone...), but I think it would be OK for passengers to. The more important reason I grounded it is when I add navi, I don't want any features disabled (like changing address, etc.) when I'm moving. I had a nav system in my old car and I don't think this should be disabled because you don't get THAT distracted with a nav screen (especially with a touch screen)...
