Can the lower dash on an 06 where the 4x4 switch, VDC, and switch blanks are be removed without removing the entire dash? If so, how? I want to use one of the available switch blanks.

To remove those blanks, it is necessary to remove the bezel around the stereo and then the panel directly below it which houses the accessory outlets. This is easier than you think; there are only a few screws.
