The run is on for the second week of December - Saturday or Sunday. Whatever works the best for everyone. It looks like it may be a partial snow run again if the weather keeps up - laugh

No clue where that is, but I would be interested in going. [Wave]

Can stock X's handle it? I haven't gotten a chance to do any mods yet. When are you planning it, and how would I get there from Chicago?

OK, so I pose my ? again to you....could a STOCK X handle it? It looks, from the pics, like I would need to AT LEAST get mud tires, remove the nerf bars and mud flaps and add rocker sliders(which I already plan on doing). Is that a fair assessment? Or do I need more mods for the '00 SE 4x4? I really have not seen exactly what the X can do in Xtreme conditions.......YET wink

Yes stock can handle it, its only as hard as you want to make it. If you guys decide to go in say december let me know I will be looking to run again by then, but not till then too much work to do first. Winter runs at haspin are a blast if you got somebody crazy enough to run the lead and find the ice covering the deep holes! wink

You can do without the rock sliders there. I do recomend removing the nerf bars for any sort of wheeling and if you want to be able to do anything beside the main road at haspin look into mud tires. Even Randy's A/Ts where like slicks there last year.

I remember that day was muddy! It looks like I am going to have to wait until I get my steering fixed before I can go, (centerlink is toast) but I think it will be about late November early December and I have heard it only takes 1 hour to install. Let me know what a good date is for everyone - BTW Hawk - I took my X out 4 wheelin when it was bone stock and had a great time - Hope to have a good turnout. CHeck out the photo from the day of mud at Haspin Acres -

I don't think I can make it this trip, too much going on the next two months. But for future reference how long of a drive is that from Indianapolis?

Aight... Rubber Ducky has been complaining on not going on a run in a looooong time. Taxman and I have a little top secret side project to get through, prolly in 2 weeks, then I'll be read for some more wheelin. Haspin is similar to the quarry at the Badlands, you can pick and chose as you go. There is a LOT of trails out there tho. I haven't been on many. But, I'll try everything to make this trip.

I would love to run Haspin since I never been there and would be a change from the Badlands but Dec. is a bad month for me, to much going on. Let me know if you guys plan anything early in 2004.

Everyone around indy, be at Bob Evans, east side, off washington street, 0700 for B-fast, and we'll be rolling out of there by 0800 to head to Haspin.

Randy, you gonna make this one?

oh yea, ducky pictures to be posted soon... no dig camera... frown

Haspin was a decent time. Everything was frozen, so it beat us up pretty bad. Ducky taco'ed a tierod, but got back to the parking lot and was granted a ride home on Santa Haughs' Sleigh. :-) Upon getting back to the North Pole, the Elves quickly removed the tie rod, straightened it, and welded several supports to it, so that I could get home. (No one stocks a replacement tie rod for an Xterra around indy.) Needless to say, it's my fault, both for not having one, and for not having upgraded to the sweet ass Calmini steering package... I really need to save up $500....

A good run all in all, HUGE thanks to Dave. Great to catch up with Tim again as well.

I'll get some pics in the next couple days and post them here.

The run was a success - well mostly. Got so spend some quality time with the sploder on the way home since a yellow ducky took its parking spot on the sleigh wink .

Run was fun though, too bad you had to park is so soon. But glad we had seat room and got to run that creek. [ThumbsUp]

When you get some pics ready for the internet post up one of the tie rod, maybe we could sell those and make a few bucks [Spit]

I need to get your guys phone numbers - I was running late because my furnace broke in the middle of the night and I had to wait for a repair guy - $500 later and a new circuit board and we had heat again. After that, I didn't feel like breaking anything else -
