My new tires need to be broken in. I was looking at maybe playing around on the Bulldog Canyon trail. I can't remember the specifics of it right now, but it's in the small book.

Bulldog sounds good - nice and close. I also should have new tires by then. Yea...

I'd like to come and play this weekend, i've already commited to finishing the mods(lift & steering) though. The next time you see me, you'll be thinkin' I painted DBAX brown!!

I dunno about you guys, but I'm off Monday too, so either/both days would be good for me.

That sounds great. Dan would you like some help putting on your mods? I know I wouldn't mind helping and I'm sure there are some others out there that need the experience. As far as bulldog it sounds great,never been there. All you other city folk it's time to get dirty and get off the pavement.

If you're gonna run Bulldog, you need the gate codes, which are free from the Mesa Ranger District. It's funner to run it from the Ellsworth entrance to the Idaho exit.

To the south is Apache Junction and the 60..

I have codes for the gates so we are ok in that respect. Not sure where the ellsworth entrance is but I have entered from just North of Usery and off of Cactus in Mesa. Either sounds good to me.

You can count me in. How long is the trail? I've got the cooler all ready to go.

Just a guess but i would say if we took 3554 in and 10 to the south it will be 6 to 7 miles. Just got my new BFGs today so I am anxious to see how I much better I do than with the LTs.

Yeah take 3554 to 10 exit at Idaho rd. Much more scenic and a bit more challenging although it's mostly an easy trail.

There are two good side hills, one as you come out of the wash onto 10, and one towards the end on the right. The one toward the end on 10 has some pretty good undulation at the top, I've seen a jeep roll trying to turn around backing down that hill (idiot) but they are both just side play hills. Also on 3554 when the canyon walls start geting steep watch out for climbers, they
like to rappel there.

Oh, the ellsworth entrance is easy to pass, but you'll see it as you do. There is an open area, and usually has a horse rig or two parked there.

What time and place should we meet... What about the gate to 3554 @ 10am on Sunday?

Or we could meet up at the Conoco at Ft. McDowell on SR87 about 10 miles north of Mesa, about two miles north of where Shea intersects with the Beeline in Fountain Hills. (Country Club Dr. turns into the Beeline) (same place we met up for when we went to Payson)

Not to butt in again, but why are you meeting up on the Beeline (87)? Wouldn't you want to take 60 east to Ellsworth and then North (or 202 East to Ellsworth)to the entrance.

If you go up to 87 you have to go all the way up to the Saguaro Lake exit and back down Bush Highway.

Well, if you have people coming from other than Chandler and Gilbert you can meet at Ellsworth and McKellips, or if not, just meet anyplace in Gilbert. Take the 60 East to Ellsworth, exit North past McDowell to the spot.

Coming back down Bush Highway is a pretty drive and all, just kinda out of the way.

The purple is 3554 to 10, and the pink is the rest of 10 which is really just flat 2wd stuff.

As you come through the wash where the walls get tall, you'll see a spot on the left like a campspot, with a fire ring etc. There is a little hill there you can climb up (shoes not tires) you should see the little trail. There is a great panoramic view from up there.

Anyone who didn't go missed a great time! Fun trail, gorgeous scenery, and a large woman dipping her boob in ranch dressing.
