[Wave] Miss you guys!!

Looking for some products and goodies for my 2004 X, a locker, differential skid, a CB and quality antenna. The antenna's going to be mounted to Shrockworks rear swing-away. What's your opinion on brands and the best sites to shop from?

Georgie, FIRESTIK is based here in PHX and their shop is downtown on about 14th st and Jefferson. That's where I'd get my antenna and as far as a CB, what'd you have in mind? I have an awesome connection for everything electronic..
In as far as the other things, the skids, etc. Just order them through the links on this site. ie- if you're getting the Shrockworks diff skid, enter his site and place your order.. The locker and compressor'd perhaps be best sourced through 4wheelparts, and I've recently done a bit of shopping with ExpeditionExchange and OKOffroad. Both great service, and products were deliverd on time as promised.

You'll be happy with Shrock's skids. Highest quality and easy to install. I have the front skid and eng/trans skid presently. My transfercase and gas tank skids should be here shortly. And hopefully in about 3 weeks, my rear bumper/tire carrier.

I too am looking for a cb. Thinking of the Cobra handheld. http://www.buyreliant.com/cb/c75wxst.htm

Thanks for the opinions guys, always appreciated. Dan, on the CB, I'm looking for something reliable and easy to use with a decent range. Don't need all sorts of crazy bells and whistles.

Roger that. I have the Uniden Pro510 and it fits in my dash below the radio. Some prefer the hand held unit, the Cobra 75wxt(?) I'll have prices for you on those and others early next week. (I'm leaving for San Diego in a few hours for the weekend.. [Wave] )

Wow, that's a pretty sweet price on the Cobra. I might be interested in one of those myself. Other than an Antenna, that's all I need right?

I have something that looks very much like that Uniden, but it's a Cobra. Just a PIA to mount it anywhere in the 05.

I'd bring the X out to do the job. Once connected, I'd like to spool out the cable and wrap on the new rope. How's your weekend Sat or Sun looking anyways? Ya' know, I do have the 2" BL to go on.. laugh With the right instructions and tools, it might take us all of 3-5 hours..

Okay, let's do the damn BL!

Really, you ready for the lift? eek
[ThumbsUp] I'd better re-read the writeup HERE . I'm going to start a thread on the install just because I know others were interested in it too. Saturday or Sunday will be fine for me. I was going to attend the "Iron Chef Nissan", Battle Chicken Campout, on Mt. Ord this weekend, but I think this is a better idea. Thanks for the offer to help [drink] [ThumbsUp]

You cheeky bitches, how the hell would you have managed without my supervisory support? Someone mentioned food, so I had to stay around! smile You guys all seemed to know what you were doing, apart from the whole Dan nearly losing an arm incident. Which I was supervising and till this day don't know how the hell he got his arm out of there.

Can't make it out there myself to help / Supervise. Playing Golf in the morning, then preparing for my birthday celebration in the afternoon.

If I wasn't such a miserable bastard with such a small house, I could have invited ya'll over for said celebration. So if you are really bored and have absolutely nothing to do tomorrow evening, give me a call: 480-655-7535 for directions and you are more than welcome to enjoy a few beers around the fire pit.

Nah, not 12.. We did my winch disconnect (to the battery), added the plasma rope and hook. Than torqued Richards (DriverX) T-bars. We'dve gotten the lift done in about 6 hours if it weren't for a small challenge with the radiator bracket. We really only workded on the lift from about 11-7:30.
