Yeah, i wish i didn't work friday nights but i work a 2nd shift and i work tuesday - friday..well technically early ass saturday morning...perhaps i can meet on one of the trails or another gathering one of these days..sorry guys

Did we plan a Sept Xcursion? I know FR 532 cleanup was planned. I did not see that road listed in the "closed road" section of Tonto Forest website.

It's still all gated up.

So was there a decision made about September Xcursion? I haven't made one yet, but would like to...

Dan's coordinating with the USFS to find out which one they are going to let us run and pick up trash on. He'll be updating us when the Forrest Road is determined.

The date for the Xcursion should remain the same (Sat 9th). Just the actual location is TBD.

California Rendevous date is TBD by Ty. I don't know when they are planning it, but it would be nice to have a good showing. Dan also mentioned that there may be a rendevous in Vegas, as a half-way point. I don't know, we'll see.

The origional idea for an AZXC/SCCX trip came as I drove through the Corral Canyon area between San Diego and Yuma. The thought being to get together somewhere between the two, that might be outta the heat, with some mild wheeling available. Unfortunately, that did not come off as anticipated.
Looks like SCCX has planned a trip to Hungry Valley (off I-5, north of LA), 9/16-9/17. While I expect that would be alot of fun, and anyone that wants to make the trip would be likley be welcome to join them, it is quite a bit further than I am willing to drive for a weekend trip. Hence the question of other options.

I have to talk to Bren about it, but I am thinking a camp trip 9/23-24 up on the Rim. Maybe Knoll Lake (even thought the "campground" is closed), or something along those lines. Even if not an official Xcursion, anyone would be welcome.

That kinda sucks, just not good timing. I, like you, don't want to drive too far. Especially considering the possibility of breakdowns. I also don't expect them to drive all the way over here for the same reason.

I do hope that when the weather cools down, and the schedules line up that we can meet at a trail someplace in between.
