Do we have monthly meeting time and place yet?

I believe Dan was gonna call Power Nissan down South for a potential new meeting venue. Can't remember if we agreed on a date or not at the last meeting. Smack Adam - he took the minutes!

I'm going to hit the site hard tonight and try to get the minutes as well as the changes implemented. Keep trying from work, but get too busy to make any headway. I still haven't officially taken over the Treasury/Secretary position, since Preston forgot the stuff and we have to make plans for a bank trip.

Just to add to this thread, I would love to get any planned excursions up on the Xcursion page. Just let me know anything we have planned like fat tire, any cleanups, etc and I will put them up on the page.

I know for me at least, its really important that I know stuff more than a few weeks in advance so I can plan to be around for stuff.

Hey yall, my name is Luke and Im interested in joining the club. I have a 2004 black xterra and I like to test the limits. Is all stock right now, but Im getting ready to get the 3in. suspention and the 3in. body lift. Im throwing 33x10.5 under it. I am located in the Phoenix area. I recently took the Broken Arrow trial and that was fun. Id like to do it again soon. So if you all could give me some info on how to join that would be cool. Thanks

Welcome Allstock. The next meeting should be in the next few weeks, at which time you will have a chance to come and meet a few local folks.

Depending on what I have going on when the date is set I may try to come out just to meet some fellow X drivers, put some faces to names

Allstock is going to need a name change when done. Has he heard of the difficulty level and additional part needed between the 2 and 3 inch body lifts? Should look bad when done.

I thought the option when I was doing my profile was to display your area's club...but I can remove it if I'm not offical

Don't let the AZXC initial nazis put you off. Basically that is our club designation, there are 2 things that one must to before being voted in as a member - Well 3 if you count dues ($25 a year).

1. You must take part in a club excursion. We have an official club excursion every month, some are more 4x4 orientated. Others are 2wd friendly family orientated type excursions.

2. Come to a club meeting. Which if you come to the meeting on May 12th, you will be half way there!

Im going back to sedona this weekend to see if I can brak something so If anyone is interested in going just let me know.

You won't do it there, but if you'll give me a week, I can help you find what you're looking for..

Are some of these excursions day trips or are they all overnight...I've never done the camping thing. I am going to go hide quickly now that I have admitted that and will lurk back later to see the replies. Please don't banish me to malls only, I can handle only so much of swirling around amongst teenyboppers partaking in retail therapy overload

Camping is allways optional, but more fun!

You'll be fine even if you're not a camper. We usually have a loose rotation of Xcursions every 3 months that include one hard 4wd trip, one easier trail doable by 4X2's, and a non 4 wheeling trip like bowling, volunteering at the Triath, etc. Probably half of the trips are day trips, and we usually plan the overnight stuff where someone could just come up for a day and leave instead of camping.

As to the AZXC thing, I couldn't care less, but yeah, it does designate you as in the club, and you know, we're trying to be exclusive here... (Really I was just razzing the said Nazi's, because the last 3 GUYS that put up AZXC before they were members got nailed on it almost immediately, yet yours seems to have gone conveniently unnoticed... )

Here's what happened to me prior to joining. Travis really got me good that day.

I will be coming from 23rd Ave/Baseline. I have to go home from work (downtown Phx) to take care of our dogs first so I may be running a little late. Will the meeting be outside or is there some kind of meeting room...in case I get there after it starts and dont know where to go.

Unfortunately, I am working, and Pinnacle is just a little too far out of my first due to bring the ambo..

Small world! What general area are you at? Is the Molten Lava color like a maroonish color? I see a maroon X parked in the driveway of a home along 23rd Ave...the house I see it at faces west

Wow I'm on 22nd Lane and Darrell! There's also a midnight blue X with CA plates that parks on Darrell on occasion and I saw a 2000-2002 just around the corner on Maldonado...X's are everywhere around here

We Have tryed but my work puts me far from home to pick up the x and off to other side of the world for the meeting . It never fails.

I'm gonna come, but I might be running a bit late depending on how traffic is. My husband usually plays poker in a league on Friday nights but the bar they play at on Fridays is shut down for remodeling so I am going to see if I can't drag him along.

Park in the service drive (W. Side of Building), hopefully I'll have my X since it will be at Peoria Nissan until fixed or Lemoned out. Either way I'll still be there and the meeting is inside the rat maze.

Thanks I'll remember service drive and rat maze We're going to try to leave by 6 so we can trek across town. Hopefully most of the going-home-from-work traffic will have subsided a bit.

No worries if you're late, we usually just jaw until 7:30 anyhow. It'll be nice to meet some new X owners too.

Good question, I still don't have everyones (anyones) phone numbers other than Scott and Preston (who will be in attendance ). Well, I've got Tys, but he posted he can't make it, and Travis and Gabes too. Only they're no longer club members.. I think Roger's gonna' be there, also, as well as hopefully some noobs. 50,000 XTERRAs on the streets here and we can't get 10 trucks to a monthly meeting :rolleyes: Even with free pizza What about you Adam, gonna' make it?

Lemon I've kept pretty silent on, no need to bash Nissan or Peoria Nissan, not really their fault, but it is their problem. They have it now and we'll see what comes of it's 7th time for the same exact issue. U1000 code TSB. I wanted to give them every opportunity to fix it, but if they can't, I don't want it back.
I'll let you all know how it goes.

Yes, much was accomplished at the meeting, good time . Thanks to everyone who'd showed up, and especially to Tom Seider at Pinnacle Nissan for the hospitality. AZXC is very fortunate to have such good support from our local dealerships. Proof positive we can continue to seek out new members and grow the club.

Alex and I enjoyed meeting everyone and hope to participate in some activities down the road and definitely wanna try to make it to the Fat Tire event in August.

He saw us on the road on his way home from work and stopped in front of our house when we pulled in. We're just a few blocks apart. So meeting one more member was a nice little bonus for the evening.

I had a problem with my 2003 X you will need more help to get them to buy it back ! Took me a year and a half! but they (N.M.A.C) kicked in some to boot and took back my lemon .Good luck read your owners man it will help you along the way. If i can help just ask.

It was nice to meet some of the members in person, although I'm going to need a cheat-sheet to remember which face belongs to which screen name.

Sounds like out next get-together just might be a post-Moab repair day & I can sneak in & get some help with my PML and tire selection. I'm not much of a mechanic, but I can bring beer.
