First of all... its been hot here (KC Area), but it seems like the Xterra is running really hot? Even on a short drive tonight (approx 30 miles) after 7pm? Is this normal?

Thanks

Running in 100 degree weather, in the desert, with A/C on, in stop and go traffic and I didn't go above mid-range on the temp gauge.
The Xterra is the most well cooled vehicle I've been in, if your running hot there's a problem, check to see if the electric fan in kicking on when the engine is hot.

I would inspect the radiator to ensure it's clear of mud or has any obstructions to air flow as well

Thanks for the quick response. The actual temp is doing okay, (gauge), its just that the hood is/was extremely hot and my wife was paranoid, and I found this cool site.. hey its new and I am over protective still!

Thanks for the quick responses.
