OK, I know of some damage to a couple of vehicles at GOX. Maybe I missed some. I am with Ivan on the Calmini steering system to beef it up but I wonder what else I may want to protect against first. I saw a tierod go... Steve's CV... Dan's shock but what else got damaged that was not from abuse?

I would like to know if Twitch's grey X with the 33x12.50's on it destroyed there fenders or not? You know that Grey X that was posted in the pics section awhile back with no room to stuff or turn the tires at all.

Elroy in our group suffered a sidewall puncture near Kite Lake, and rolled another tire off the bead on the wall. He was running BFG AT 31x10.5R15.

No the wheels did not destroy the fenders. They are still on the truck. He was able to turn and crawl over rocks. The bad thing about them was you did not want to be behind him. Throwing rocks.
You can ask him personally on his web site www.refriedchicken.com/board.

Twitch also knew what to expect and not only removed the plastic mud flaps shits but also bent back some of the body metal in advance - don't know if it was actually necessary, but I'd seen it.
And you can too, right here.
Check out the few around this one shot as well for a wide shot of the truck.

I tore the upper rear mud flap on Hell's Revenge. It was at the very end through the narrow portion. I dropped off a rock and tore the plastic. [Uh Oh !]

steinism,
No man I didnt install it yet, its siting in my closet collecting dust. I am actually thinking about selling it. I have a new calmioni rear bumper, arb, and calmini sliderz and i dont want to deal with chopping and raising it all right now. Maybe its also because I dont have the time for it being in school and all.

I think I get the prize for first problem at GOX, on Sunday as I was taking off sway-bars one of the plastic knobs on the front disconnect stripped from nut and had to be cut off.

No biggie but NEVER USE PLASTIC KNOBS!!

What do you consider the "licence plate"? Haha, I guess that was abuse! I suffered no problems except for nicking my aluminum wheels (so suprise there).

I scraped my front right side of my bumper causing the plastic piece on the side near the tire to bend out of shape. No worries the calmini bumper is on the way laugh

My liver was damaged....but thats not a bad thing. I may have some front end problems, but I cant locate where it is coming from. I have a popping when I turn left, coming from the right front of the truck. Nissan said my A-arm was loose, but it still happens, so I think it was a "we don't know" sort of excuse.

Brent,
Carlton has video of the carnage.....
"The Wall" 1 Solar Yellow 0

Contrary to a rumor, smashing a truck into a wall will not get you to the top.

We got to see the passenger in this vehicle go swimming in a mountain lake - mid 40 degree water temp. We were preparing to hook their body with a fishing line had they gone under. Then this person decided to run up the mountian side yelling - "Hey Lama Man", "Hey Lama Man".

Someone had a little too much "mushroom and weed" lunch.....

Hope people get to see the carnage.

It just adds to the "interesting" people you meet at GOX. Unfortionatly, some are tooo interesting for me to tolerate for an entire week.

I also hope everyone gets to see the video clip. It will make you say "OHHH eek " out loud, many times in a row.(I mean that in a painful way smile )

Well let's see what damage I can talk about for gox 2 and 3,

GOX II
Blew both automatic hubs.
Blew both wheel bearings(front wheels)
damaged right steering knuckle.

GOX III
Destroyed tire hanger (underneath truck)
Damaged rear bumper.
Probably burnt up my parking break.

Looks like my damage was much less at gox II.
Maybe next year I won't break anything.
