Hey Paul - I've never changed a distributor cap, what should I look for/what did you see to know that yours went crappy? If anything I'll change that out if needed. Is there a Nissan dealer near EOE?
I think i'll wait until tomorrow to check the cap - its going to hit ~94 today

There are no immediate signs of wear on the dist' cap, but you will see black scorch marks on the end of the electrode on the rotor arm. Me, Todd and Pikey Mikey have all replaced the above parts and we have all noticed an increase in torque etc, so therefore an increase in mpg. If your X has done more than 12k than I reccomend you install new dist' cap etc.
