Okay, since the last get-together was pretty much a success, even though on short notice, lets get some ideas of what we wanna do next....i mean, anything BUT Tin Alley Grill... although i like the place, i sort of get sick of it every once in a while...

I know there's a shamokin trip this sunday, and Paragon next weekend, but for those of us who can't make it (Nick, shut your mouth!! ) lets get something else rolling...

any ideas???

It'd have to be a friday. My weekends are booked solid until the 10th.

We're going expoloring a new area this weekend... not far from blackwood, but not illegal. They recently opened up like 20,000 more acres in blackwood and I heard they are patroling more than ever, so we need to find more trails.

Anyway, I'll let you guys know how it is.

A man after my own black heart! Where do you play? I've been trying to get NJAX people to play for months, and no go. We've got another guy, Rob, who plays as well.

I used to Paint Ball a lot back in my home country, but I've not been able to find anywhere to PB here.
But why would you guys want to PB when you have real guns and you could just go out and shoot each other for real?

bacause we dont have diplomatic imunity to protect us from a cop, when they come looking for the shooter

Where do you guys meet when you go up to Shamokin? What type of wheeling do you do? I have a 02 SC and I'm not really into the rock crawling... yet. Everything else is fine with me. Maybe I'll take a ride up with a couple buddies.

Well, rock crawling is pretty much what Shamokin is. While yes, we CAN find mud, there's more rocks than anything else.

the trails we are going on are on private land
but some of us have permicion to run them

the trails are right outside of the city of shamokin
and they are rocks rocks rocks

Well, I know there's a place on Long Island, but I've never been there. Skirmish USA which is probably the biggest field on the east coast is on the way to Shamokin, and there is a place on the road to Todd's (206 N) as well. If you ever want to get a game running, let me know.

don't forget about Top Gun in Jackson...pretty far, but worth it...
and Nick, you know ABC paintball on 17, right?? well, they have thier own field..its in Hewitt. pretty much northwest jersey...i don't know much about it, but our buddy Leo was talking about it with me one day....maybe in the spring we'll have an NJAX Paintball day...

Skirmish is in Jim Thorpe and is a great place... I recommend it.

Spring time? Wuss- there's something to be said for tracking somebody through 2 foot deep snow, the swift crack of a froxen paintball on your ass, and the frozen swampland that I've been known to slog through... Paintball can, and SHOULD be played all year round, in every condition- Rain (been there done that), snow (been there done that), forest fire (stopped a game of mine once)- C'mon!

So Paintball should be played year round? So should Camping!!! But wait...you're the one that says..I mean whines "It's too cold to camp..I don't want to camp till it's warmer!! just messing with ya

The difference between them is this- 1) Paintball- you're running around keeping warm. And it's usually not over-night when the temp drops. 2) Camping- your heart rate slows down, so your body temp drops somewhat at night. Keep in mind that the temp outside goes down as well. So, I'd rather run around in the snow covered hills shooting at people than become a popsicle sleeping on a trail somewhere.

I went to ABC's PB place once before. It was ok. They have two courses. One that is woods, not too large, and one that is obstacles. Let me know when you guys wanna go, I gotta rent all the stuff, but I will go! I hear Skirmish is the best in the area.

Skirmish IS the best on the east coast as far as I know... And just so you know, I've got enough equipment (marker included) to outfit another player.
