I've had my truck since yr 2000 and I've got a go signal on moderately lifting the X. Needed help or advise on what to do or what to purchase.
Any advise will be helpful...

Actually I'm not new to this board. Lost my password so I've created a new Username, I used to log in as Hunter.

I'm not clear on what you'd like to know? I know what most people do and what my plans are. Since I just bought a house and soon getting married I've got to watch my spending. If your rich and in a different situation here's what I would do.
1. 2" Shackle and torsion bar lift (PML)
2. 3" Suspension lift (Calmini kit type)
3. 2" Body lift
4. Bigger tires (which will give yet even more lift) Maybe 33"s but some guys like 35"s which look cool but I think it's overkill.
I'm sure there's more to add but it's expensive and timely but well worth it IMHO.

Hey Ebeauchea, nope most definitely not rich. Actually looking for a poor man's lift set up. I believe I found it on the Suspension's topic. I don't want to spend too much money on it. Probably a 2" BL or SL. I want to be able to fit 33's. I currently have a 32x11.5x15 BFG all terrain ko on a stock truck.

If you want to fit 33's, you need a 2" BL and a PML set up. The 2" BL lets the 33's fit (A PML only raises ride height, so larger tires will still hit on comression...) The PML adds ~ 1.5" of frame ground clearance...for about $50-75 in parts. There's a thread with great directions on how to do a 2" BL for about $65 in parts too.

So TJ, what should be the first thing I should buy to start to get my truck lifted? What site do I go to purchase PML / BL? Hey, is EOE still around? I remember Todd used to sell sliders.

I'd answer your question but you asked TJ so I won't. j/k go to www.calmini.com and go to the suspension area and order the shackle kit. I think you have to call them.. It's like 50 bucks.

I'm still here, I moved a few months ago but I believe I had a pair of sliders that were partially done. Let me know if you are interested. Personally I would go with a BL and some trimming where needbe to clear the 33's. Originally posted by HuNtEr1966: So TJ, what should be the first thing I should buy to start to get my truck lifted? BTW, you have probably seen me. I work in Roseland and drive the black 02 X with the sliders, PML, and shrockworks bumper. k_enn

installing a CB isn't too bad. i had no idea about electronics and i managed to install my CB and KC lights by myself. check out firestik's website if you haven't. they've got a great technical section.
