Just wondering if theirs anyone here that kayaks. Im thinking of getting into it, but was wondering if there are any places around jersey to do so. Thanks

There are a ton of places on the Delaware if you live on the west side of NJ. Though of course the Delaware is incredibly slow and dull. I guess you can always ocean kayak. But really, I know nothing. Also register for our board: http://bb.njax.net/

The Leheigh (sic)has better spots, and the Millstone has a few places...but you need to get the spring dam releases to have anything resembling white on the water, unless you count a rock here and there, etc...

alot of people in brigantine kyak on the south jetty we have a shop that specializes in kyaks called the root beer barrell...i know but trust me they do a ton of kyak business ask for john if you call and he can tell you more tell him surfer john told you to call, maybe he will hook you up ps he lets most people try his out for free

I go to the Jim Thorpe a few times a year to kayak the Leihigh. Nice river, but you have to do about 9 miles between put in and take out. My daugter lost her paddle there last spring, and it was a long walk. Yeah, I know, we didn't bring a spare.

If I could find a place to Do a nice simple river ride with no rapids Id go every weekend
but alas I can't find such a place.

White water is where its AT dude! The flat water stuff is boring unless the scenary or the fishing make up for it.
