Wanting to give my new (to me) 2001 V6 3.3L X it's annual physical...plugs/wires/distributor cap/rotor/fuel filter/etc. What's the best way to go? Platinum? The gap? Which K&N fuel filter would do me right?

If it were me, I would buy the Nissan fuel filter and plugs. You wont notice any difference going to after market.

Wires, cap, rotor, platinum plugs, and fuel filter: $156 at the dealer.

Wires will probably go 100K, easy.

Wires cost 100K? WOW!

just kidding

I keep looking up wires but get confused, partly because I'm not smart on cars and partly because I'm just not smart. Some wires fit 99 through June 01 XTerras and the others fit from July 01-04. Since I have an 01, how will I know which category I fall into?

...help...

Check the sticker on the driver's side door jamb. It'll have the build month.
