Alright, you've teased me long enough with the Spy Photos...

What the expected date of arrival on this beast?

Patiently waiting.

Bump...
Todd, you out there?
I've lost your phone number, otherwise I'd call directly.

Sorry for the delay...looks like the release date has been pushed back just a tad, we were hoping to have a batch of bumpers for ECXC but looks like the end of June is a better estimate. I'll keep everyone up to date as the time gets closer for shipping.

Any hints at a price range? More or less than Calmini's?

Increase departure angle, and add tow point while putting spare on roof. Less $$$

I certainly wouldn't want the tire carrier either, but I would like a nice strong bumper with better departure angle and hard tow points.

Carlton why the hell do you care why i ask ?

I Think Tow hitch is a good towing point,
and it is also a good rice mobile stoper ( incase some one will deside to run under you )

ye having a better departure angle is good, but are you actualy going to use that better departure angle ?
it looks like ARB upfront will be the limiting factor (if you cannot climb it, whats the point of having a better departure angle )

www.4x4lo.com is a bad exsample
Vikram did not have funds at that moment to go and get the full bumper with a tire carrier, he wanted to add it in the future

I want it because of all the reasons mentioned above, plus one very important one to me...

I use the rear hatch a LOT, and I don't plan on dealing with the spare tire every time I want to get in or out.

EDIT: Plus, if you're camping, even with the hatch mod, now you can't get out of the back anymore...

Just leave the tire carrier arm swung out while you camp. It's not like you're required to hitch the arm when parked or anything. [Freak]

I have contacted my rear tire carrier bumper a couple of times on obstacles that were cleared by my ARB up front. Certainly not impossible.

I agree that a tow hitch is a good tow point but it can get in the way.
The ARB made it up this climb but I buried the hitch in the dirt.

You also gotta remember, the ARB is made to take the abuse of offroading, so if you need to push your way up something, that may not clear the ARB, that's OK. the hitch is good for dragging, but it's not perfect, it has hung up on a couple obstacles, and by it's design, it just won't slide. having that extra clearance in such a case would avoid that problem altogether... but I don't see it as much of a problem... I buried my hitch on the same hill Norman buried his on.... You don't need to be locked to get up that....

Stormy and others the hitch tube is located higher than just adding a bolt on hitch under the rear bumper, your risk for getting caught up on the hitch is greatly reduced.

BF rear bumpers without carriers "might" be available, the problem is demand for them is far less than a complete bumper system.

Do you know this for sure? I'd be very interested in one without the tire carrier as well.
