What's the install process like? Will I need to drill any holes?

Remove six bolts and reinstall and tighten them up. Nice and simple.

Will you be drilling the holes for the 7-pin wiring harness connecter?

It has a mount included that goes underneath and is tucked away pretty well, especially if the tire is still under there.

If you want it drilled in the face of the bumper anyway, we can do it. It would be ~$25.00.

looks great...can the swing away tire carrier be bought later and added to the bumper, or must they be bought together?

Looks like bought together as there is no mount for it on the non tire carrier version.

Jim, what's the lead time from the actual order to completion? I'm also assuming that it's cheaper to ship to a company than a residential address, correct?

The bumper does not have to go freight, so it shouldn't cost any more or less.

at least for UPS it is less expensive to ship to a commercial address.

About 5 weeks for the first batch to go out.

Since it doesnt have to go truck freight, the residential/commercial difference is only $2-3.

Shipping will probably run about $60-$65.

We can do one in about 1.5 hrs if everything goes well, but I'd say figure 3-4 doing it your first time and going slow.

It's optimized for a 33-35. It would hold a 37, but we'd want to tweak the layout/dimensions a bit.

What about plate relocation with plate lights...up here in Canda at least in the province of Ontario if you dont have lights luminating your plates then its a 115.00 dollar fine...

Look closely, there is a light above the plate on the carrier model and to the left of the plate on the non carrier bumper.

Jim,

what's the current estimated ship date for the rear bumper and skids for the first batch?

When I talked to him on Friday (I think), he said 3-4 weeks and both the skid plates and bumper should ship around the same time.

I called Jim on June 12th to check on my order from May 9th (rear bumper and T/C skid). He said it would be and additional 3-4 more weeks before they ship. Personally, I'm not expecting to see this order until sometime in August.

It's painful but whatcha gonna do. Jim explained the process and I kewl with it. It's get here when it gets here. I'll just work on other stuff in the mean time.

I'm sitting here biting my nails waiting on the #$@!% mad laser cutter. I actually offered to pay them more to bump us up on the bumpers and skids, but no luck.

Getting them to you by 2nd week in July is cutting it close, but looks like there is a possibility of it. Call me about a week before you have to have them and we'll se where things are.

Thanks Jim. I am sure if it was up to you they would be in peoples hands now. If I can at least get the skids before ECXC I'll be happy. It scares me not having them, and it would be a long tow home. I am leaving the morning of July 19th. I'll toss them on bare if I have to. smile

Is there a possibility of adding a jerry tank carrier on the swing-away? Can it be added by you guys or will I have to buy one and do it myself?

Thanks

I think it's a trade off (clearance vs utility.) I have seen the advantages of Shrockworks high and tight swing away vs Skid Row's first hand. Both are fine bumpers but the Shrockworks bumper is much better when dropping off ledges and such. I think Jim has stayed true to his hardcore wheeling designs with this product and I would not be willing to give up the clearance for fuel tanks which I could mount in a different location.

The only place it will fit and still be able to open the hatch is b/t the vehicle and the tire. That pushes the tire way out away from the vehicle.

Example:

I realize a few people that really want jerry cans on the rack, but it just isn't the way I wanted to go with it for the reasons MMNIAC mentioned.

There is a product I can get you that will allow you to attach one to the spare tire though if you want....like this:

Thanks Jim for the update!

It sounds like I won't have the rear bumper for the Rubicon trip but maybe I'll need a new rear bumper after the trip anyways smile
