This is a really good book as it has all the trails around Moab, http://www.funtreks.com/index.php?page=book_3
The file, Moabtrails.mps, from the www.gonemoab.com site has most of the GPS info from the book, so I grabed the file and filled in the missing trails and saved it as a gpx file, which can be imported into many applications. moabtrails_CharesWells.gpx You really need the book to make the most of this file.

Each of the trails have between 4 and 15 waypoints at significant places along the trail. The routes just join these points, so they don't absolutly follow the trail, but give a good approximation.

If anyone has anything to add to the file, let me know and I will add it.

Enjoy and see you there. [Wave]

For any oziexplorer, expertgps, GIS users, I have georeferenced the freely available canyonland_tripmap.pdf, archmap.pdf and officialhighwaymap2005.pdf, go here http://www.rkrenn.com/xterra/maps/utah/ If you have maps that you can give me, let me know. Thanks

Richard

Richard,

Thanks for taking the time fill in the missing points for the new trails. Everyone that attends will also be getting a full color briefing book that will have topo maps with waypoints from that guide book. I do suggest that everyone has a copy of the original trail guide as it as a ton of great info.

What all different GPS units is everyone bringing? I'm looking to probably get a Garmin Vista Cx. Although I found a place that had a Garmin Quest for about the same price.
