Anyone used this diff lowering kit? Do you need it if have only 3" lift? I'm installing a calmini UCA and SAW torsion bars, along with Calmini AAL and shackles.

What do you guys think?

Which shocks do I need? I'm considering buying SLR's bilstein's extended shocks to go with the calmini stuff.

Any info/feedback on the proper shocks with this setup?

Diff lowering kit
I was supposed the first installation of the second generation differential lowering kit. I can not tell you if it has made a difference in my vehicle. The drop is in the neighborhood of .5 inches. Do most people with a lift utilize this, probably not. Have I heard of a lot of people destroying half shafts without it, no.

[edit] - The extra droop is an issue as noted by aero steve in a reply below.

Binding of the CV's has been heard from my vehicle, but then again, we were trying to get our trucks off the ground.

Hang Time

Check some of the MANY threads on the shocks.

Happy decision making. wink

I've blown CV Joints with the diff lowering kit and Calmini arms. Calmini arms do not allow as much droop as SLR's. The diff drop kit has also allowed the diff to shift in it's mounts so that the CV boots tub on on the frame. I originally ordered a complete SLR Stage III lift and piece vy piece I've replaced many of the SLR parts with other manufacturers parts.

so with a calmini 3" setup (no slr) someone should be fine without the diff drop?
