I've been very curious about this idea. Maybe i'm obsessed er somthin'. Anyway I was looking at a replacement lift for my 93XJ Cherokee and I am considering either the Skyjacker 6" or the Tomken kit. (I do have a point here eventually) The kits basically come with a complete subframe & mounting points for the link arms. The Skyjacker kit is compatable with a Dana 30 as well as the D44. Both of which are easy to come by. The kits , Skyjacker
www.skyjacker.com in particular seem as though they would help make a swap for a coil solid axle swap into an Xterra easier. The guesswork is done. Youd need to add a trac-bar(easy),steering, and upper coil towers(also easy). Sure the framerails are probably a differant width(I know XJ doesnt have real framerails) but the mods would be fairly easy. I haven't checked to see if they will sell the kit in pieces or not. Am I out in left field here ,or is this worth researching further? Any opinions?
