2001 Xterra rattles over bumps. Sounds like front passenger side.

checked under to see if any bushings are gone or torn up and everything looks tight and present.

I have no idea what it may be.

It rattles in the same place if I suddenly turn the vehicle right or left.

I am perplexed.

Any help before I take it in and get fleeced for a job I can do for 50 bucks????

Could be a heat shield.

I have same sort of rattle. Seems to only happen in morning when X is cold. It is driving me crazy trying to figure it out!

Same rattle here. More common when it's cold out or when I'm 1st driving it and the truck is cold. Somewhere under the front passenger side. I'm not sure where to look 1st.

is this more of a squeak than a rattle? because ive had a squeak for about a year now mostly when its cold, ive had it looked at numerous times and cant find a thing

I have the same type of rattle. But mine is due to the fact that the front skid(factory) is loose. My mech/sevice shop did not tell me that I only have two screws holding it in place. So you might want to check this also, especially if you have an older truck.

I have had numersour sqeaks on my X and my old frontier. I finally attributed them to the stuff they put down for snow (salt) or if I go 4-wheelin and get alot of mud in the under cariage. My remedy for this is to do a complete under carriage wash at the local car wash and then spray all my bushings and joints under the X with a 3M silicone spray. This works for me.

Same thing with mine when its cold. Heat shields!
