Looks very nice... now only if they would finally make a manual transmission version.

looks exactly like the picture above. just don't put it on when the temp in your truck is real hot or else you'll have problem making the tape stick to the dash.

Hollywood I got your pm and will e:mail you the pix when I get home from work.

I didn't have any problems with the install on my kit like DROCK. However, as I mentioned to him he may have had problems with the kit because he tried to install the kit in the evening after it was 105 degrees during the day. I live near San Francisco so I don't have the temp problem inside the vehicle. I had kits similar to this installed on my other car and it came off when I lived in Guam because it was so hot inside the car. My suggestion is once you have it installed don't park it out in the sun because the heat softens the glue (think heat gun or blow dryer) and will eventually cause it to come off. Otherwise, prep the area real good with the material they give you and make sure you don't get any of the stuff on the dash that will not be covered by the kit. The chemical causes the plastic to discolor a little.

Order the sample before you decide on what you will get. I picked the satin nickel because it was the closes to the factory as far as looks.

I am looking into the trim kits and was wondering how much of a difference there is between the molded and flat kits? Are any of the pieces actually different? The kit diagrams look all the same. Just wondering which one to go for. If anyone could post the pics or email me the pics of their satin nickel trim, it would be very helpful.

There's a few differences, but in the end choose carefully because you might be saying in the future that you should have went with the other kit.

The molded kit (actually it's a flat kit and made by Woodview) has the following and the flat kit does not:

1.) holes in the trim piece above the speedo
2.) trim piece that surrounds the 2 power outlets under the A/C controls
3.) "Xterra" stamped on the glove box piece - I wish they used the same exact font as the new Xterra. You can tell the difference in the R's of the word. (Woodview makes a plain, non-stamped piece for the new Frontier...wonder if you can switch it out.)

The flat kit has the following and the molded kit does not:

1.) steering wheel trim
2.) trim piece that surrounds the 4 switches to the right of the round 4WD dial - (Woodview makes this piece for the new Pathfinder...wonder if you could purchase it and if it will fit)
3.) door latch/handle trim
4.) shifter console trim piece
5.) inner cupholder pieces
6.) rear center console trim
7.) optional overhead console trim

I personally like the molded (Woodview) kit. I think the flat kit has extra pieces that "overdoes" it, but you can always leave those pieces out. Just hoping that I can add the 4 switches piece and the plain glovebox piece from the new Frontier.

Thanks for the info. So the shapes aren't actually different? There are just certain pieces per style. I have ordered flat sample pieces, so I guess I will just wait and see.
Thanks again.

I was looking at the kits and in the picture there is a compartment next to the 4X4 switch. I dont know about everyone else but my 05 does not have a compartment there. Instead there is the VDC button and two other precut opens that are covered. I have pictures of both the stock interior and the dash kit that was already posted earlier. Not sure how to post the two pics but I am wondering if the kit will still work?

The kit works even with the 4x4 knob and the VDC switch. You may have to trim around VDC switch though. I had to trim around the VDC switch on the kit I got.

Does yours 4X4 switch look like this?

If so, and if you read 2 posts above yours I already addressed this issue. mad I said that the flat kit has it, but the molded kit does not. [Argue] If you want to know other differences, read 2 posts above yours.
