Can the foglight bulb be changed by user on 06 Xterra? I plan to go amber, but manual says not serviceable, see your dealer. Bulb is H11 available many places.

I have not done it, but people have, so I assume you can.

get to the foglights.

put an hid conv in it thats what im plannin on doing here soon so it matches my lights

what is that hid conv...I was thinking of changing my fogs also, because they look a little dull.

There are 2 screws in the bottom of the wheel well and 2 along the side. After removing those 4 screws, the inner liner can be pulled towards the tire to expose the fog light. There is a power connector that pops off and the connector holding the bulb twists out.

whats the difference with the amber vs. original light bulb...

Amber gives better vision than white in fog, and in rainy weather, does not reflect as much as white. White creates shiny reflections in rain or fog. On the other hand, you loose about 10 to 15% light intensity, but in fog that is not an issue. Thanks for everybody for how to change bulb.
