Thought I would share this with the forum.

Two weeks ago I had the dealer put synthetic fluid in the engine, AT, Xfer case and both diffs. First 72,000 km used only dino fluids.

Yesterday went for a long drive.

Normal range prior to the synthetic fluids was around 440 km before the 'low fuel' light came on at 1/8 of a tank.

Yesterday with a drivetrain full of synthetics... got 480 km before we hit 1/8 of a tank!

The drive was a loop back to the house, so no tailwind, downhill, etc. factors that would artificially affect mileage.

I heard that mileage might improve, but was amazed to see the proof!

Cheers!

Keith

No way synthetic fluids can give you a 9.1% increase in mileage. Let's see a a more accurate assessment using actual km/L numbers if you actually took any before you had the fluids changed.

It was just a friendly observation, mate. Take or leave it.
