I will be in Vail Next week. What trails should I check out? I have done Mcallister Gulch and one other pass to leadville. I have a 06 stock 4x4, and I am from Kansas, which means I cant drive off road for sh*t. Looking for something not to intense, just to get off pavement and into the mountains.

I was going to be a smart ass and suggest Holy Cross. But really, in stock form, in Colorado, you're better off hitting some stuff closer to Keystone.

I'd pick up a book by Charles Wells that lists the generic trails (read as not the local 'My Paw showed'd me this one place where he sez I wuz conseeved') for Colorado and they're listed by difficulty.

That would be more helpful and massively more informative than you can imagine.

Ive been on holy cross, though not driving. That would be a good trail for me and my xterra to go to die
