The saga of my transmission is finally over. After much drama Gateway Nissan in El Paso did the whole thing under warranty for me. If you have an 04 or older X with the manual and still have the 60K warranty get the transmission replaced now!!! The unit is 2600$ plus the labor and also you should do the clutch when its all torn apart since the clutch alone will run about 1300-1400$. Just be persistant and try another dealer like I did and finally good things will come.

What problems were you showing before the tranny went?

You tell me which dealer will replace my 5spd that there is nothing wrong with it and I'll drive there.

mine's an '04, 5 speed, and i have no problems...

and i can't wait until i do, if i do, and the dealer tells me the problems are because of my lift...that's gonna be fun!

When stopped with the truck in neutral upon putting the transmission back into 1st it would kick out of gear, shifting into 1st was usually so hard that I had to start out in second and then near the end fourth gear was grinding.
