Does anyone know if you can buy parts for the Yakima X-tower? Someone tried to steal my rack the other day, but they were only sucessful in removing one clamp from one x-tower. I'm positive that it didn't vibrate loose and fall off, it was on there, good and tight the day before.

I went shopping and when I came back to my truck, I noticed the rear bar was crooked. Further inspection revealed a calmp missing. It looks like someone tried to wiggle the bar off after removing one clamp.

I can't afford the low riders right now, so I would love to find replacement parts for the X-tower or even one complete X-tower would work.

Anyone know of anything? I have searched websites and haven't come across anything yet, so I wanted to ask everyone here before buying a set of towers.

Bummer...ask the Store that you were at if they have Parking Lot Video for that Day...maybe they can catch those rascals...

I was at a shopping mall. I'm sure they have video cameras but getting them to actually review them would probably be tough. Usually they only work with Law Enforcement and I didn't call the police and fill out a report or anything.

Often times they will warranty the rack parts.

I called them a few hours ago. The only part they have available is the bolt. The X-tower is no longer produced, so they have no parts, or even a complete tower to sell me.

The good news is that I *did* find out I have been pronouncing "Yakima" completely wrong all this time! It's not "ya-key-ma" after all. DOHH!

I found a pair of x-towers for sale on the net, so that part of my problem is solved.
