Looking back the cars I owned I am only partial to the VW Rabbit Convertible because it was comfortable, great drivetrain, looked cool (black body and top), fairly reliable, and it made me want to go out for a drive. However the Xterra is such a practical vehicle, well-constructed and looks cool also. It is also my first Japanese car.

Looking forward I will definitely look again to Nissan unless the Xterra really betrays me down the road. I would love to go back to my VW roots but it seems their reliability, which I believe was always inconsistent at best, has gone downhill since the 1990s. I hope they can get their act together.

Nissan Xterra OR 05' <--- love it.

The RX-8 was an AWESOME sports car. Wish the whole thing hadn't happened on one hand, but on the other hand, I'm in my super pimp Xterra now. Which I love. If you want the whole story, you can ask... just ask. I could have gone back to it, but I rode by the Xterras, and rarely looked back. Now I never do. Xterras rule.

Some of you have had a ton of vehicles! I have a fairly short vehicle history.

Of all these, the Pathfinder was by far the longest/best run (so far…). Owned it 11 years.

Second best was the Miata. After driving it for several years, I totaled it and got almost my original purchase price (just a few hundred less) from the insurance company pay off. Talk about holding value!
