Which shocks to get is dependant upon what you want them to do for you.
Rebound and compression valving, collapsed and extended lengths, and other factors come into play.
Its not like if you get brand A, no matter which one, it will be best for YOU.
Its like saying "I need a sandwich, what's the best one?"
So, what rebound and compression valving ranges, what compressed and extended lengths, what kind of bypass or other heat dissipation requirements do you have?
How much does each corner of the truck weigh?
Did you want this for high speed pre-runner use, rock crawling, a daily driver, fire roads?
If a combination, what priorities? (Biased towards which scenario?)
Etc.
Then you can first start thinking about what shocks the makers have that can MEET those specs.
Or, you can just ask some one who sells shocks, and end up buying whatever they decide to sell you.
For example, they make units that acts as bump stops, to provide lift, by robbing you of uptravel...and they are popular, because the sales people leave out that detail.
...and so forth.
So - What'r yer specs you wanted?
