sry but ive lived in many places and im in no way a racist.

(no offense to blacks below)
but everyplace i have lived you hear about a murder a car jacking crack dealers etc etc, 90% of them are black or mexicans. are county jail is 64% black and 19% mexican the remaining is white.

if being around my own color makes me racist so be it. mine as well sign me up for stormfort and hang a noose in my yard. blacks are no better mexicans also they want there part of town to infect which they get no problem (i say that because they completely ruined this town) alone with crooked cops)

the problem is not there color must of them are great individual but it only takes a few of them to ruin that and bring drugs etc etc and ruin the neighborhood then crime skyrockets my vehicles get broke into etc.

F3rr3t, until you master the Lingua Franca I'd be more hesitant to complain about anyone else reducing the standard of living.

Wait. "One of these things is not like the other..."[/b]
Yeah, I was an Army brat and lived on Okinawa back in the mid-sixties. I was very small but I remember it quite well. Was it isolated? Somewhat. When we got back in '66 I was probably the only little kid in America wondering who those Beatle guys were. [Freak]

You make valid points about some of the South's desirable qualities (you forgot grits though). I didn't mean it's hell on earth, I was just answering the question about why living here is so much cheaper than elsewhere.

What I want in a place to live is safe streets, a reasonably quiet, friendly and nicely kept neighborhood with no troublemakers, good emergency services, and access to fun outdoor stuff like hiking, biking and rafting. As much as i dislike Atlanta, it's all good for now because our suburb is exactly like that. So sure, I'd say I want to live around people who are "like me" but that means people who also value those things. I couldn't care less what race or nationality they are.

What's weird about Atlanta is the extremists on both sides. There are people like the ones in my previous post who will seriously vote for someone not because they're the best candidate but because they're the same minority; then there are the ones like the first guy I encountered when I moved here in 2001.

My GF at the time lived here and I got a good job offer so I decided to move from Dallas-Fort Worth. My GF told me how great Atlanta was and so on. We drove in on I-20 and took the exit to Douglasville, which is about 20 miles west of Atlanta and where we were staying that night. At the very first red light we came to, the guy in front of us was shirtless and driving an ancient, beat up pickup truck. He had welded a flag holder onto the back of the truck bed (like at the stern of a ship) and had a huge confederate flag proudly mounted there. I was thinking, "Yeah, tonight he's gonna party like it's 1865." [Uh Oh !]

i am wanting to be in the southeast/south-midwest.

im open to all suggestions but have a few things i would like.

1. small/smallish town/city town im in now is 200000 which is to big

2. redneck/country community

3. strong offroad nature

4. mostly white

5. must be able to find work

6. im compete in db drag racing (high end stereo competition) so it would be nice to have a few other audiophiles around.

7. im 19 i dont have alot of money saved and would love to be able to find a house for around 130k and below.

i will become a registered member as soon as i can afford it (im saving every dime i can)
You know where you need to Move? You need to move to a town called BOW New Hampshire.

It is a small town for sure. My ex girlfriend lived in Bow and the road was called BOW BOG road

Ford/Chevy rivalry is live and kickin, I used to argue with her pops just for fun about it. uncles/nephew all wrapped up in one inbred package are aplenty

Strong off road nature- Heard many stories of kids in big lifted trucks. get all of your friends, have to bucktooth women in the back making out, have some kid named Jethro filming it, And bobby is driving. Bobby, bites a beer can that his older nephew bought for him, and shotguns the it. Screams yeeeeeeeehhhhhaaaaaaaawwwwww!!!!!!! and floors it. The two half rabbits in the the back cheer on like they know what the hell is happening in a flawless attempt to continue living it the lifestyle which they are accustomed to which is, in all aspects redneck

4-mostly white.....That token black guy will be known

5-Must be able to find wook Close to larger towns such as manchestahhh

6-I am sure that you can find audiophiles in the larger metropolitan areas, There are other philes that you will be passing on the drive over there. mommaphiles, daddyphiles, sistaphile, doggyphiles...etc,etc.

7. Houses are quite affordable in that region.

In all honesty, why do you want to keep living in a lifestyle that you are so accustomed to. Part of getting to know yourself, is getting out of your comfort zone. But I also understand wanting to live amongst your own kind. I am the same way. Why don't you try a larger town with a small town feel to it, and a very small metropolitan area

cool I'm still thinking about his desire, to get a couple of acreas and house for &130,000 and be able to shoot his firearms--

--Course, the real estate prices are dropping, WAY down &130,000 is looking more plausible, BUT

--A couple acres and shoot firearms, I'm afraid he's going to have to look long and hard--

That's because you are from Northern Cali.....

I just left there last year to experience real freedom in Colorado.

Dude, there is this place called Florissant Colorado. Close to a lot of trails, TONS of open space, everything you are looking for. How do I know? An ex girlfriend's parents again. Starting to think I am dating a whole bunch of rednecks daughters.

I'd also make sure wherever you live has continuing education for adults, with strong ESL and Special Ed. programs.

Does that laptop screw up your grammar, too?

A third grader should know the difference between "are" and "our", and when to capitalize.

Please, better yourself to the point where you are a boon to the community, then pick a community that would benefit from your presence. Or at least stop dragging everyone else down.

Please take a first-year English class at a community college.

Love your neighbor, and Merry Christmas.

I think he meant Texas - it's the only one not ending in "A".

I don't care how small a keyboard is - "e" is nowhere near the other letters of "typing."

That's not a finger slipping...that's a brain cell slipping.
