Less breakable is a broad concept...if you are serious about not breaking...which is not a 100% proposition even on the drive to the trail, let alone off road....you need armor.
Sliders, and skid plates, and bumpers...maybe in that order, depending upon the terrain you are planning on.
If you run stock, with armor, you won't be too vulnerable...and, if you hit something, it will be more survivable.
You will never lift high enough to never hit...so armor is job #1 for protection.
Do stock trails like that, and upgrade the trails as you upgrade your skills as an off road driver....if you build a monster truck, but have not learned how to control it/calibrate your Oh Shit Factor, etc...you will get into real trouble.
You will want to hook up with a local club/group....that way, you are not wheeling alone, so when you get stuck where your cell phone says "red", etc...you have buddies to haul you out.
You will also learn alot from watching how they do it. Once you are familiar with picking a line, etc...THEN you can start lifting and doing other fun stuff.
