I got one on Friday evening, waited at the mall for 9 hours and it is absolutely amazing. I've been waiting since its announcement in January. Definately worth every penny, all 60 thousand of them.

I'll be interested to see how long the internal battery lasts. If it's anything like an ipod you'd get 2 years max before needing to replace it. Then too, that figure doesn't consider everyday usage which a phone is likely to incur.

I feel like such a hypocrite for saying this (coming from a loyal Treo user) but at some point it's just a damn phone. How much should it possibly be able to do???

Btw, no disrespect to anyone who bought an iphone. Everybody has their something so I totally get where you're coming from if this is your's.

I can understand your initial giddy-ness, I experienced the same when I bought my MDA and later my Wing from T-Mobile. Enjoy it while it lasts, the feeling not the phone, because the newness will fade and you will come back to Earth, eventually The 9 hour wait for your new toy might have make it last longer, though.

I read the other day that the iPhone can't even accept or send picture messages. I can't tell you how many jokes my friends send back and forth in the form of pictures. I'd really miss that feature.

Awesome looking interface that should change the industry for the better - can't wait to see how this thing looks in a couple generations after it catches up in terms of actual features.

I thought the same thing. It really took a licking there before it crapped out - and this is coming from a guy that hates the iPhone for its lack of features, made up for with an exuberance of marketing playing to Mac cult members.
