What's the trick for releasing the wiring harnesses behind the dash? I pulled my dash off the other day to disable the A/C auto on w/ defrost but couldn't figure out how to release the wiring harnesses for the mirrors, rear defrost, and hazards. I didn't want to force the issue and end up breaking something. It looked like just squeezing the black tab things on either side in while pulling would work, but I couldn't get any of them off.

Thanks!

That is it... might have to eat your wheaties first, hard to disconnect them for the first time.

Might help to have a screwdriver handy to twist and pry the harness from the switch with one hand while the other hand squeezes/depresses the tab(s) holding it in.

Thanks for the advice guys. The screwdriver trick worked and I now have control over my A/C!
