Actually, the driveshaft stuff is relevant. The next question I was going to ask was:

Before you remove the t-case, do you unbolt the front driveshaft from the t-case and move it out of the way, then unbolt the rear driveshaft from the diff and slide it off?

I had previously assumed that you had to unbolt the rear driveshaft from the t-case (like the front) but it seems like that's not the case.

Yes, unbolt the front shaft from the t-case at the flange. Unbolt the rear shaft from the diff flange, and the other end of the shaft will slide right out of the t-case. Someone here changed their driveshaft within the last few weeks and there are pictures.
