For anyone who's mechanically inclined, Nissan is offering subscriptions to view and download the full factory service manuals and TSBs for all Nissan vehicles. This is the same info contained in the $300 manuals and is what the dealerships reference when doing repairs. A one day subscription costs $20 and gives you access to everything. Be warned: the site isn't very user friendly (not easy to navigate) and although you "see" the whole manual, you need to save one section at a time. But for 20 minutes of work and saving 280 bucks - it's worth it! Nissan Factory Service Manuals

Spiffy! They also have a run-down of all the TSBs for free. You have to pay for the details, but the synopsis info is plenty. There's a "rail dust" TSB...

I'm assuming that the manual is in different sections and are all individual Adobe PDF documents. As an example, 12 sections and 12 individual PDF files. Can Ken or someone confirm?

I'd be very gratefull if someone with access to the manuals, etc. would check out what is said about the 2003 A/C compressor operation. It seems there is some confusion of how and when it is supposed to come on. Two local dealers can't explain to me why the compressor stays on all the time.
For more info check out my posting in the Stereo, Communications, Electronics forum..

I agree with you that it is worded very poorly. It's almost like the person that wrote the service bulletin didn't understand the operation either.
I'm starting to think that the wording.. When in defrost mode AND the temperature is above...
should actually be... When in defrost mode OR the temperature is above...
I have yet to get the flan to blow without the compressor coming on.
I'd love to see what the official manual says...

Can someone help me? I bought the subscription, but I can only seem to access the first section of the service manual. How do you access the other sections? Thanks

I worked for Ford (through a contract company). Of the hundreds of IT people I knew at Ford, only one was a real Ford employee... the top IT manager of our building. Even the managers below him weren't Ford employees. It's the IT world's fault this happens. Nobody stays at an IT job for more than a couple years, so the big companies see it as a huge waste to go through the trouble of permanently employing people. This way, keeping a position filled isn't their problem, nor is all the human resources crap that goes along with it.

If anyone who has access can pull the TSBs for the Frontiers for me I would be grateful. To make it worth your time I can trade a manual for the TSBs. I have Froniters 2000-2003, Xterra 2000-2003, 2003 Murano and 2001 Maxima. I didn't even think about the TSBs when I was on there and made my focus the FSMs, so if you want, I can trade info for info...

I didn't even think about the TSBs when I was on there.... DOH! If someone still has access can you pull the ones for the Frontier (2001) for me? I have all the FSMs for Frontier and Xterra from 2000-2003 and 2003 Murano and 2001 Maxima. So I can trade info for info if needed.

It's better than that: Click on the Quick Reference index to show the sections of the manual; then in the URL field, change the year & model to see whichever one you want; here's for a 2003 350Z: https://www.nissan-techinfo.com/nissan/pdfs/sm/2003/350z/fwd.pdf So, the file naming is the same for the quick reference: "fwd.pdf"; from there, all sections of the manual are available. Not that I recommend anyone to do this.

What about a working link for the TSBs?

Anyone that has been through some or all of the Xterra TSBs, please go through your browser history to review them and pull up the URLs for us...
