I've been waiting for this since Ortiz beat the piss out of Shamrock the last time. It looked like Shamrocks face was hit with a bat. Only another hour and 15 for his next ass whoopin'.

The Ortiz-Shamrock fight is going to be good.
Time to go from smack-talkin' to just plain smackin'.
I bet Shamrock gets pounded again. He'll get caught up in the emotion of it all, make a mistake and Tito will go to town.
Shamrock used to be the man, but Ortiz is from a new and better class of fighters. MMA has evolved.

Anyone have a quick line on the fight? I'm in the Ortiz camp, and I say he submits Kenny late in the second..

I say Ortiz beats Shamrock and Silvia gets beat by Arlovski (I think Silvia got a lucky punch in the last time around)

I don't think Ortiz wants to submit Shamrock unless he gives him a beating again first...he has to make it as decisive as the last fight to end Shamrock's bitchin.

Yeah, that's what I mean. Shamrock comes out swingin' round 1, and tires himself out. Tito beats him relentlessly for 2-3 minutes the beginning of 2, and then slips him into a chimera or somethin' late in the round... Yves Edwards loses to Joe Stevenson by ring Doctor stopage due to a cut on the head.
Frank Mir wins by decision.
Tito beat Shamrock by a quick stoppage from Herb Dean early in the 1st round. 5 unanswered elbows after a big slam from Tito and the fight gets stopped. There has to be a Ortiz/Shamrock 3!

I say Tito/Shamrock on the undercard of UFC62 in August.
Tito would have landed many more big elbows if it wasn't stopped, let them fight again...at least Shamrock got a quick beating this time.

I agree completely, Tito would have landed many more unanswered shots. Herb Dean seems to stops fights too soon in my opinion. But, Shamrock really didn't do anything to defend himself. I wish they would have brought them back out, I would have liked to see more of Tito kicking his ass.

Very boring Silvia/Arlovski fight. 5 rounds of stand-up, never really got going. Silvia won by majority .

It was announced at UFC 61 that if Liddell beats Sobral, he will fight PRIDE's Middleweight (205 lb) champion, Wanderlei Silva in November at UFC 65 in Las Vegas, in a dream fight.
Silva came into the ring wearing a Pride tshirt and Liddell confronted him in the ring...
That should be an awesome match...

I like Liddell and all, but I've seen him fight some Pride fighters and he got his ass handed to him, granted it was a few years ago. He has changed dramatically sice then. If you have ever seen Silva fight, he is a monster. I will get that PPV for sure.

Silva is a badass - especially in PRIDE, but his track record in UFC hasn't been that great - losing in 44 seconds to Vitor Belfort and by decision to Tito Ortiz at UFC 25...
that said, I will definitely be watching the Silva-Liddell fight...

Wandy will DESTROY Chuck.
I think Herb Dean made the right decision also. Maybe a tad early, but Shamrock would have eaten even more elbows if it wasn't stopped when it was. Dean is there not for the fans, but for the safety of the fighters. Typical UFC "fans"....booing like that. They didn't even know who Wanderlei Silva was when he was introduced. Idiots.

At 42, Shamrock needs to realize that he is getting older. His ass was getting beat and the ref was completely correct to stop the fight. If Ortiz fights him again, Shamrock will lose AGAIN for the third time... This fight reminded me of the way Shamrock whined after his loss to Sakuraba in PRIDE...

Tito Ortiz will be on the KTLA Morning Show around 7:15 AM (West-Coast time) Tuesday July 11th. A cameraman and producer went to his training camp in Big Bear, CA (altitude training). The producer and another cameraman was with him for the fight in Vegas. Tito's story plus Live in studio interview should be in the 7:15 AM to 7:30 AM block. KTLA-WB is available via satellite as a superstation, through out North America on Ku-band, C-band(AMC-3 Transponder 15), and Dish Network systems, as well as on cable systems in selected cities throughout the Southwestern part of the United States and in Canada nationwide. Check your local cable or satellite provider.
