Where is it on an 02 SC model this thing wont pass state insp and engine light on. I know the intake has to move I just want to remove as little as possible. Saw the post about ziping it to a line and improving gas mileage. Is this possible just by moving the sensor?

Thats the code it was giving. o2 densor and knock sensor. I replaced the o2. Light went off. Drove for 20 min. Once the onboard computer reset it came back on.

will the knock sensor retard the timing to the point of loss of performance and gas mileage?

According to the shop, that I heard back from today, I think I have the same two codes you have. They recommended replacing the knock sensor and the charcoal canister. Replacing the charcoal canister I think will clear the evap emission code your getting if I understood what the guys at the shop told me (feel free to jump in anyone if I'm getting this wrong).
To fix both codes, they quoted 1200, but I'm going to try to replace the charcoal canister myself. Haven't found any info on how to do it, but I'm going to post here to see if anyone has anyone done it before.

i'm goin through pretty much the same thing. i have an '03 frontier. my check engine light has been on all summer. the first shop that hooked it up for me told me it was the evap solenoid, and prob the gas cap. i replaced them both yesterday (i don't think u have to replace the whole charcoal canister, prob just the solenoid / valve, which was relatively easy on my frontier. i dropped the spare, so i was looking at the canister. i removed it, put it in a vice, and 2 rusted bolts later the valve was replaced and it was ready to go back in.) then, my buddy hooked up his computer to clear my code(s), when we discovered more. i have a code 420 (hehe) which is inefficent cat and a code 328, which is a bad knock sensor-bank 1. now, i hope the knock relocation procedure discussed here will work for me. does anyone know? the evap valve was $75 dollars at napa, and i gas cap was $30 at a dealer. i was told by a few mechanics that a bad gas cap can throw an evap code, and to only replace it with a factory cap. aftermarket ones can throw the same code out of the box. hope this helps.
