We spotted a 00'-01' Solar yellow jetting the other direction on the highway but they had one bad-assed bra on. It looked like those ones for the Wranglers that go from the front tip of the hood up to the wiper cowling using the center of the hood. Anyone know what bra that may be and where to get them? Yes I know I seem to be posting alot of eye candy oriented B.S. lately but there's a reason for it: I gave up on trying to hook the Focus up so now all of my money goes straight to the truck, the way it should be. ~Thanks!

Nothing like putting something on your hood that does more damage than what you would get without it. Anything that can collect water and dirt under it AND moves on the surface is bad news.

Don't fall for the magnetic bras either; they are just as bad or worse than the regular ones. Clear film like invinca shield is the only way to go, but it needs to be put on before you get pits and such in your paint.

OK; is it just me or does this site not work? The scrap pieces caught my attention and I want to get some for my roofrack and door sills, but the menu doesn't show up and I can't click on anything. frown

Where do you drive ? I have 2 tiny chips on the hood after 39,000 miles.

Maybe my ARB serves another purpose, since it covers the front edge of the hood.

Hmm I wonder if that top bar does stop some rocks from hitting the hood. I have a few chips myself. Yet another reason an arb kicks ass!!

40,000 miles an no chips on the front. Tabasco runs around topless and braless laugh I have gotten 2 nasty dings on the doors from rocks flying off my tires.

One of the more recommended bras is here: Colgan Custom Bras . They carry the T-bra and the sport bra for the X. I'm thinking about getting a T-bra myself as I'm getting ready to commute 100mi/day in Sept..

The front deflector does a pretty good job. I had a couple chips on the front egde as well as farther up the hood before I put it on. I haven' had any more since. Or at least since they repainted the hood after the accident last fall.

Thanks for the tip on the Colgan's. Have an inquiry out to them about getting a "T".

I got one of these and have been very happy with it. They come in black (as pictured) or white. I would imagine the white wouldn't look too hot on anything but a white "X." They are pretty reasonable at 45 bucks a pop and beat the snot out of a cloth-type bra by not messing up your hood with scratches.
